Clear expectations for digital product purchases, subscription cancellations, and how we handle support requests.

Policy

Digital Products — All Sales Final

Because digital products are delivered immediately upon purchase (as downloads or account access), all sales are generally final. This policy exists because we are unable to "un-deliver" a digital file once it has been accessed or downloaded.

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this policy.

Exceptions

When We Can Help

We review support requests on a case-by-case basis in the following situations:

  • Duplicate Purchase: You were charged more than once for the same product. Provide all relevant order numbers.
  • File Access Issue: You are unable to access or download a file and we cannot resolve the technical issue after troubleshooting.
  • Accidental Purchase Before Download: You purchased a product by mistake and have not yet downloaded or accessed the file. Resolution may depend on platform policies.
Process

How to Request Support

  1. Email support@sheargeniussociety.com with your order number in the subject line.
  2. Include screenshots or details describing the issue.
  3. Allow up to 3 business days for a response.

Resolutions may include replacement files, troubleshooting assistance, or store credit at our sole discretion. You must contact support before initiating any dispute with your bank or credit card company. Chargebacks or payment disputes filed without first contacting support will result in immediate and permanent account suspension.

Future

Physical Products

If Shear Genius Society, Ltd Co. offers physical products in the future, a separate return policy will apply and will be published at that time.

Subscriptions

Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by emailing support@sheargeniussociety.com. When you cancel:

  • Your access continues until the end of your current paid billing period.
  • No prorated refunds are issued for unused time on monthly, quarterly, or annual plans.
  • Your account remains active and you can resubscribe at any time.
Disputes

Billing Disputes

If you believe you were charged in error (duplicate charge, charge after cancellation, etc.), contact us within 30 days at support@sheargeniussociety.com. We will investigate and issue a refund if the charge was made in error.

Renewals

Automatic Renewal Refunds

If your subscription auto-renews and you did not intend to continue, contact us within 48 hours of the renewal charge for a full refund of that billing cycle. After 48 hours, the standard no-refund policy applies.

Annual & Quarterly

Annual / Quarterly Plan Note

Annual and quarterly subscribers commit to the full billing period. Early cancellation stops future renewals but does not generate a partial refund. Access remains active through the end of the paid period.

Chargebacks

Chargebacks & Fraudulent Disputes

Shear Genius Society takes unauthorized chargebacks seriously. Before completing any purchase or subscription, you are required to confirm that the transaction is intentional by agreeing to our Terms of Service and Refund Policy through a multi-step confirmation process.

We maintain detailed records of every transaction, including:

  • Timestamp of Terms of Service and Refund Policy acceptance
  • IP address and device information at time of purchase
  • Email address and account identity of the purchaser
  • Two-step purchase confirmation (checkbox + confirmation modal)
  • Stripe Checkout session metadata and payment records

If a chargeback or payment dispute is filed for a transaction that was completed through our standard checkout process, we will submit all available evidence to the card network to contest the dispute. If the chargeback is found to be fraudulent or unjustified:

  • Your Shear Genius Society account will be permanently suspended without notice.
  • All access to Platform content, downloads, and subscriptions will be immediately revoked.
  • You may be held liable for the disputed amount plus any fees incurred by Shear Genius Society as a result of the dispute (typically $15–$25 per dispute).
  • We reserve the right to pursue collection of outstanding balances through appropriate legal channels.

If you have a legitimate billing concern, please contact support@sheargeniussociety.com first. We respond within 3 business days and will resolve valid issues promptly. Filing a chargeback without contacting us is not a substitute for our support process.

Acknowledgment

Purchase Acknowledgment

By completing a purchase on Shear Genius Society, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund Policy in its entirety.
  • You understand that digital products provide instant access and are non-refundable.
  • You confirmed your purchase was intentional through our two-step verification process.
  • You will contact support before initiating any payment dispute with your financial institution.
  • Unauthorized chargebacks constitute a breach of the Terms of Service and may result in account termination and collection action.
