Embedded Watermarks & Metadata

All digital assets produced by Shear Genius Society, Ltd Co. — including station cards, anatomy diagrams, zone charts, instructional graphics, and downloadable educational materials — are embedded with copyright metadata at the file level. This metadata includes the copyright holder name, year, source URL, and a unique asset identifier traceable to Shear Genius Society, Ltd Co.

Watermarks are embedded visibly and invisibly across SGS content. Removal, cropping, or alteration of any watermark or copyright notice is a violation of 17 U.S.C. § 1202 (Copyright Management Information) and may result in statutory damages of up to $25,000 per violation in addition to any other damages available under copyright law.

YouTube Content ID & Video Protection

All video content produced by or on behalf of Shear Genius Society, Ltd Co. is registered with YouTube’s Content ID system through an authorized Content ID partner. This includes educational tutorials, board prep walkthroughs, brand animations, game previews, and all other video assets published under the SGS brand.

Content ID automatically identifies unauthorized reuploads of SGS video content across YouTube. When a match is detected, SGS may elect to:

• Block the infringing video from being viewed
• Monetize the infringing video by redirecting ad revenue to Shear Genius Society, Ltd Co.
• Track viewership and analytics data on the infringing upload

Filing a false Content ID dispute is a violation of YouTube’s Terms of Service and may result in account termination. SGS also actively monitors YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook Video for unauthorized reposts and will file platform takedown notices and DMCA claims without prior warning.

To report an unauthorized upload of SGS video content, email legal@sheargeniussociety.com with the infringing URL and a brief description.

Protected Educational Materials

The following categories of SGS educational content are explicitly protected under U.S. copyright law and may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, or used in competing educational programs without a valid SGS licensing agreement:

• Station cards across all four programs — Cosmetology, Barbering, Esthetics, and Nail Technology
• Anatomy and zone diagrams created for or commissioned by SGS
• Board preparation question banks, practice exams, and scoring rubrics
• Sanitation and safety protocol logs and templates
• PowerPoint curriculum presentations and lesson frameworks
• All interactive games including Shear Force, Shear Squares, Knowledge Chair, Flash & Know, The Suite, and The Final Look
• The Shear Heights city-builder game and all associated game assets
• Any content bearing the SGS Brain Logo, SGS wordmark, or SGS taglines

Cosmetology schools and continuing education providers wishing to use SGS curriculum must enter into a written licensing agreement. Inquiries may be directed to legal@sheargeniussociety.com.

Trademark Notice

The following names, marks, and identifiers are claimed trademarks or service marks of Shear Genius Society, Ltd Co. Federal registration with the USPTO is in progress for priority marks. Unauthorized use of any SGS trademark in domain names, social media handles, product names, educational materials, or marketing constitutes trademark infringement.
